Brown coal briquetting in Lusatia has almost 150 years tradition. Lausitz Energie Bergbau AG continues the tradition in a place where there were more than 100 factories to produce briquettes. Factory for production of briquettes Schwarze Pumpe is now only in East Germany. These are made of nearly five per cent of raw brown coal mined in the Lusatian region, briquettes and industrial fuel.
The entire production complex is the latest of its kind in Europe and meets the strictest requirements for safety and environmental protection and quality of fuels. Processing, shaping and drying of brown coal during the manufacturing process result in higher heating value and improved use properties.
Giant RECORD briquettes are produced without the use of binders. They contain a low proportion of native sulfur and ash and have a good calorific value. It can easily ignite, burn and optimal long retain heat. Their dimensional stability and low wear enable easy handling.
